“Working with Nicola was a real insight: her enthusiasm was contagious and her willingness to experiment with new and different materials was really inspiring. I was applying to do the Foundation Art Course at Manchester University and needed to get an interesting portfolio of work together. I learnt a lot from the sessions with Nicola, namely the confidence to explore and play with materials in an unencumbered, completely non-self conscious way. We used a combination of traditional and more unconventional media, incorporating such things as fabrics, found materials, and unusual pigments. The results were absolutely fantastic. I now have a really unique body of work, and I look forward to working with Nicola again.
