Who should take this course

  • Anyone wanting to improve their portfolio for Art Degree applications

What I can offer

  • A secure, spacious location in a custom built art studio

  • Small groups of 4 to 5 students

  • Basic art materials will be supplied

  • An opportunity to experiment with different media

  • Development of ideas, building creative confidence and ability

  • An opportunity to expand a portfolio with a variety of interesting content

  • Learning to look, and produce observational drawings

  • Mentorship

  • Expansion on school art lessons

  • “My most recent visit to Nicola’s wonderful, new studio was to attend an Art Exploration Day Workshop. I left feeling completely inspired.” Throughout the course of the day, Nicola led us through stages of creating a woodland scene adding depth and perspective with the use of inks and acrylics. We explored mark making and the use of tone to create contrast within the work. I completed the day having produced a piece of art that I was really happy with.
